Macondray Plastics Products, Inc. is moving its three Davao Region plants to blended power, and SolarMD is leading the switch.
Top management from both companies sealed the agreement with a handshake on 23 September 2026.
The three plants and other facilities draw about 1.3 MW of combined load. Over the next twelve months, Dr. Andrie Udal, PhD in Mineral and Energy Economics, will lead the transition. The blended power will come from two types of supplier: a licensed retail electricity supplier (RES) delivering grid power through an offsite PPA, and a rooftop solar supplier delivering power through an onsite PPA.
